This summer the Japanese Archipelago baked in extremely hot weather.
Most people were loose like this sleeping cat.
It was good news that DPJ(Democratic Party of Japan) won stunningly in the July 29 Upper House poll.I am independent, but it seems to indicate that the power-shift is inevitable challenging LDP( Liberal Democratic Party) which has dominated Japanese politics for most of the past five decades.I think it is a good sign for the future in our society.
Mr.Ichiro Ozawa(the leader of DPJ) strongly objects to extend an anti-terrorism special measures law which will expire at the end of this October.US government has been anticipating to be extended because this law allows the Maritime Self-Defense Force to provide logistic support in the Indian Ocean to U.S.-led multinational forces in Afghanistan. I suspect this law itself is contrary to the "No War" clause of the Japanese Constitution.
So I agree with Mr.Ozawa's objection.
We, as individuals, must admonish the US government to stop wars in Afghanistan and Iraq as soon as possible.
And we must always promote the transnational cooperation for the peace.
